He watches her follow him, his own step graceful in his movements as he expertly weaves between the trees, hopping over downed trunks and branches with ease. He takes the time to circle her as she lags behind, or nudges some rabbits in her direction to help her catch them.

Cassily struggles to keep up, until exhaustion takes over. Finding herself lost in the woods, she lays by the stream, lapping at the water.

A bird zips over head, circling around above her a moment. It crows, disappearing into the trees. The male wolf would walk calmly from them behind her, watching her drink up. He carefully approaches the stream, taking a small drink for himself before backing away from it and watching her.

The wolf snorts slightly as she falls asleep in front of him.
"You used to be much more energetic young lady. Youre losing your grip."
He walks about the area, gathering small bits and dry leaves to surround her before nudging her to roll onto the makeshift bed. After a time he would lie down nearby and resume his nightly watch, not yet ready to sleep on his own.

Rolls around in the new bedding until she finds a comfortable place. Cassily's eyes heavy with sleep, as she closes them. Her dreams filled with the forest, animals, and play.

As she falls asleep, the wolf inspects the sleeping wolfess. He notices several cuts and gashes, both from him stopping her and from her bout through the forests. He slowly stands and walks off into the forest.
After a time, a man in a long coat, black as the night walks up to the sleeping wolfess. He carries at his side a satchel of equal color, with a faded white streak crossing it. He calmly approaches the wolfess, and pulls out small salves and bandages. He proceeds to carefully treat the varied wounds on the wolfess as she sleeps, taking his time to be careful not to injure or wake her. He stands and moves away after an hour, and builds himself a small fire nearby. He sits cross legged at the fire, taking the rabbit that was left by the male wolf and spearing it, roasting it quietly above the fire. He takes his time to eat the rabbit, keeping a careful eye on the fidgety wolfess.

Waking from her dreams to the smell of smoke, Cassily jumps, eyes fixed on the man. Snarling she begins to cautiously circle him. After making several rounds. First in one direction then in the other. she crouches down watching him making no attempt at moving closer, nor backing away. Her lips curled up, teeth shimmering in the light of the fire.

He looks to the wolfess that circles him, his expression hidden by the hood, shrounding his face in darkness. All unseen but a slight smirk on his face. He speaks to the wolfess in the tongue of nature. His voice is calm and strong sounding.
"Do you desire to kill me? Do so if you please. Otherwise there is more yet to eat."
He gestures to a small pile of berries and fruits nearby as he watches the wolfess carefully.

A white wolf approaches the woods surrounding Waymoot. The people of Waymoot all take notice when a mournful cry ululates from the forest. A shopkeep comments on the cries as those of a jilted lover. As dusk settles, the children of the hamlet hold their cherished toys close as the wails continue. Hunters and their wives exchange looks of concern as the melody of the wolf sounds throughout the night. With the breaking of dawn settling across the forest, the residents of Waymoot begin their day, the topic of the previous night being the sole conversation piece. A lone hunter that chose to stay in the woods brings news of sighting a pair of glowing eyes around highmoon, followed by several howls that brought tears to his eyes, the pain being so evident in the notes piercing the wooded land. His news is brought forth before the rest of the community and it is decided that this is one creature of the land that shall not be hunted for their pelt or the meat of their body, but shall be left to their own devices, as they clearly mean no threat to the community. The village elder announces that should the need arise, the wolf will be protected, as clearly there is some issue concerning the animal, as a lone wolf cannot survive on its own.

A young druid clad in the colors of the forest is walking through Waymoot on his way to Dhedluk, he hears tales of a lone wolf and seems troubled by the thought of the animal trying to survive alone. One cool night, he takes a raw chicken and hangs it on a tree.
The dark-haired man settles, unnoticed in a nook under a cliff and watches the chicken closely. For such a young man, his patience is astonishing and rare. He sits in silence, occasionally a tiny boggart creeps out of the undergrowth to talk to him in Sylvan...possibly discussing any wolf sightings in the area. Otherwise, all is still.

Cat'lyn arrives in Waymoot in a state of distress, looking for Cassily. She knows that Cassily knows the truth now about everything, and fears she may have harmed herself again. When she arrives, she hears about the howling wolf that sounds as if it is suffering, so she sets out in search of the animal, certain that it must be Cassily. As she tracks through the forest, she hears the first mournful wail and continues on in the direction the sound came from.

Awakening from a troubled slumber, the white wolf catches the faint scent of poultry wafting about on the gentle breeze. The pangs of hunger stab deeper as she raises her snow-colored muzzle, whuffing loudly as she inhales the odors of the forest. Upon discerning that the smell is coming from nearby, she slowly begins the task of tracking. Having found the chicken hanging from the lower bough of a tree, the lone wolf slowly circles, keeping out of the sight of any potential danger. Soon spying the young man watching the bird sway gently on the breeze, she lowers herself to the ground, pondering the situation as the scent gnaws greedily on her last vestiges of speculation and wariness. When the breeze suddenly changes direction, her keen senses detect no smells of the Trapper, nor those of any predatory animal she has run across. With the dangling chicken driving her near mad with hunger, she slowly belly crawls forward.

The young druid smiles and nods to the wolf, speaking in druidic "Go on, it's safe. I won't hurt you." She would notice a hawk sitting in the tree above the chicken, watching the area in the woods like a sentinel with keen, yellow eyes. "That's Kohar" The druid says. "He's keeping watch."

Her blue eyes pierce the young druid as she rises up, snagging the chicken in her jaws. Paying the hawk no heed and with reckless abandon, she lays waste to the bird; powerful jaws crushing and grinding the meat as she feasts. When her hunger has been slaked, she lowers her body to the ground, placing her head between her blood stained front paws, whimpering softly her gratitude.

The young druid makes no attempt to protect himself. He nods to her and motions her closer. "Do you know this wolf? I'm concerned about her. Have no fear, I am no hunter...my hope is she is kept safe and well."

*nod slightly to the stranger* "I do know this wolf. Her name is Cassily, and she is a druid," she says. After a few moments, she lowers her bow and settles onto her haunches, watching Cassily finish her meal.

Cat'lyn's scent enters the clearing on the forest breeze mere seconds before the woman steps into the dappled sunlight. The wolf maintains a regal pose as she calmly watches Cat draw her bow on the druid. As the two-leggeds begin conversing, the young wolf busies herself with cleaning the remaining blood from her paws. Her primal instincts show as she watches the two leggeds closely for any signs of impending danger.

"Has she chosen to remain in this form for good?" He looks over the wolf. "What has driven her to this? Her howls have alarmed people here-abouts, I have heard." During the conversation, he would introduce himself as Talesan Fenhawk, he would listen to the reply as he makes a small fire, fatigue from his journey seems to be rolling over him and the hawk has already settled with his head under his wing. The boggart seemingly attached to the druid who is referred to as "Terry", vanishes some time in the night.

The form of a dark bird flies into the clearing, perching upon a tree not far. It nestles up into the leaves, keeping an eye on the group below. It carefully watches the hawk that glares at him with violent eyes. His caw seems to calm the other bird, the hawk seemingly losing interest in him as he sits quietly. A strange scent would drift from the bird if one were to get close enough to him to take in his scent.

"I am Cat'lyn," she says matter-of-factly. "And to answer your question, "I do know what drove her to this, but I do not know if she intends to remain in this form." With that, she transforms into a lupine figure and slowly approaches Cassily, making soft chuffing sounds.

Waking up, Talesan pushes raven black hair out of his face and looks up at the new bird that has joined his hawk. He remains close to the fire and prepares more food, sharing some with the wolves. He stays where he is, Kohar hops down out of the tree and rests on his covered arm, watching the wolves warily.
"Perhaps time, will provide an answer" The young druid covers his long hair with a hood as it starts to rain. "Until that happens, I will continue to provide aid and company if it's needed. Rest now, new friends, Kohar will alert us if anyone comes."

The white wolf belly crawls towards the fire as the rain falls. Her head resting on her paws, looking up at the young druid. As the rain continues to fall, she raises her head, loosing a single howl rolling through the moonless night. With her belly now full, the wolf soon beds down for the night, rolling softly onto her side. She soon falls into a restful slumber, no signs of distress upon her face.

A rustle of leaves here and there would be the only sign that there might be something lurking nearby...though of course the spell does not make one immune to being sniffed out.

The howls of the wolf fall silent during the day as she's seen roaming the woodland. Prowling and searching the land. Her eyes watching the wildlife as it scampers and plays around her. She's never seen attacking, only laying still ever vigilent.
As dusk falls over the sleepy town of waymoot, the first piercing howls of the wolf can be heard. Each howl growing farther and farther away, as Cassily makes her way around the wooldlands edge. Leaving Waymoot for only short periods of time.
