Cat'lyn was the product of a brief affair between her elven mother, a warden of the High Forest, and a wayward paladin. She is the oldest of five children, her half brothers and sister born after her mother later married a fellow warden.
Combining her natural strength inherited from her biological father with her affinity for the outdoors, Cat'lyn became a warden of the High Forest, following in the footsteps of her mother.
Lean, muscular, walks with an easy stride and a confident smile, her greataxe resting on her shoulder. Her body is adorned with various tattoos of druidic symbols and animal drawings. Cat'lyn often wears feathers in her hair, and prefers to dress in earthy colors. Her most notable feature, however, is the large woodcutter's axe she can be seen carrying around with her. She also may have a spare great axe (or two) strapped to her back.
Cat wears her hair long and flowing, and sometimes adorns it with feathers.
When adventuring or patrolling the forests, she will be in armor made from the scales of a blue dragon and which possess an electrical charge from which lightning can be called forth. Her utility belt has pouches for her money and other items, as well as loops to hold potion vials. A small satchel contains food and other essentials such as light camping supplies, and her bow and quiver are strapped to her back. Cat'lyn carries her greataxe on her shoulder as she strides through the countryside.
Cat's greataxe is a simple woodcutter's axe but which possesses amazing properties. The twin blades are razor sharp and wickedly curved. The axe was a gift to her from a treant named the Old Oak for her role as the Singer of Mielikki during the Rite of the New Moon in 1378 DR.
Cat's bow is made from composite materials. Along the upper limb is inscribed "Fy nod fod yn wir" (My aim be true). Along the lower limb "Hedfan fel y gwynt" (Fly like the wind)
Cat has a tattoo of her bear, Kodiak, on her right calf.
Along Cat's arms and chest are various other tattoos of druidic symbols and of the Triune.
