*travellers and adventurers moving near Bridge of Fallen Men would come across a grizzly sight:
Just immediately south of bridge, a small area has been scorched, ground blackened and nearby plantlife charred by flames.
In the centre of this area, lies form of a man, clad in massive dark plate armor, and sword, shield and helm scattered around it.
Upon closer inspection:
Armored form is barely recognizable as human, so badly it's been ravaged. Most armor is melted and bent from searing heat, with body inside charred so badly there's barely anything left of it. Body also shows signs of multiple acid burns and large amounts of impact marks. Items scattered around are similarly damaged, but to lesser extent. Helm lying few feet away from the corpse is almost intact, aside from few impact marks on it.
Body itself is completely unrecognizable, but those who had known him would recognize armor and weapons, especially helm, as belongings of Thar Nerak, knight of Thay.
((those knowledgeable in arcane might recognize acid burns as results form spell "Melf's Acid Arrow" and impact marks as hits by "Magic Missiles". They might also notice that source of fire that has affected the area was magical))
Two different sets of footprints can be found in the area, one belonging to humanoid, and other seemingly clawed, with strange dragging marks behind it. ((those knowledgeable on subject might recognize these footprints as those of hamatula, or barbed devil))
Should there have been witnesses ((bandits, guards or other npcs that might have come to inspect source of fires, if DM wants to decide on those)) they would've seen red robed man with hood deep over his head to cover his face, accompanied by hamatula leaving the area northwards, before banishing devil, turning invisible and disappearing*
