Glewien sits by fire place in the dead of the night, all is quiet, all the patrons have gone to bed, only Kale remains - wiping his mugs, before closing up for the night.
"Lady? Aren't you going to bed yet . . . ummm, do that thing you elves do . . . reverant, ummm - no that's not right. River-something"
"Reverie", she smiles weakly.
"No, Kale - I can't sleep, much is on my mind this night", she sighs.
Noticing a troubled client, Kale puts down the mug he was wiping and flings his towel over his shoulder; he drags a chair closer to where she is, bringing along a bottle of his finest wine that he attained from Marsember.
"Well . . . I've never been much of a sleeper myself . . . *he pours her a glass and one for himself* - you can talk to me . . ."
She looks him over and takes the glass from him. "Thank you Kale . . . aye, I suppose I could use someone to talk to."
"I'm all ears" He grins.
She glares at him a moment, then grins back - taking a sip of the strong alcohol. "It's the Shields, Kale . . . they are no more."
Kale chokes, almost falling off his chair. "What did you say?"
She nods.
"Blindme! What the hell?!" He pauses, and stops short, realizing he isn't helping any.
"The Crown has seen it fit that we were to be disbanded, our charter revoked" She says plainly, gazing blankly into the fire.
"Aye, there surely must be a mistake! I mean, those bureaucratic fools at Suzail must have gotten it all wrong. What is this? Wait! It's that corrupted son of hyena wasn't it? That Chandry character?"
She faces him a moment, almost about to speak, then falls silent. She takes another sip of the wine.
"Thank you for your concern, Kale. I think I will go and rest a while now - I have a long journey ahead of me soon."
Kale blinks, "Lady? Where are you going?"
"To the east, the Order may be gone, but I still remain. Captain Norister is always in need of experienced warriors, and a good ranger to keep an eye out for him."
She pauses, puts down the glass, and stares at it.
"This wine, it's something you don't normally serve . . . what is it?"
Kale grins, "It's from Marsember Lady, it's called Purple Dragon"
She looks at him for a long moment.
"Purple Dragon?" she remarks with a smirk.
She takes a final sip, and with a nod, places it back down on the counter.
"Good drink"
