Marked throughout the kingdom here and there through the forest are signs that may be recognised by Druids and Rangers. They are the markings of a Hunt. Any of the naturalists reading the signs would know to speak to the Ranger in Dhedluk, or the Fletcher in Waymoot, or Merris in Isinhold to find out more information. Any of them will tell you that the gathering will be at the circle of stones in the Hullack Forest known as the Wyvren Stones. ALL differences will be set aside for a few days as they revel in nature, tell stories, drink much ale, have competetions, and talk about the state of the wilds all across the kingdom. No hostilities will be tolerated, as is the way with all such gatherings. Only the children of nature should be in attendance, others will not be welcomed. The Hunt will last for three days, from the day before to the day after the full moon. //I read Many's post about the Rangers/Druids and thought this sounded like a great time. And since I love Ranger/Druids, thought we could get it rolling, and have a gathering. The Wyvrenstones are a perfect place for it as there aren't many spawns out there yet, so noone will have to be excluded because of their lvl. Alll ya gotta do is find the Wyvrenstones in the Hullack! but that's part of being a ranger/druid is knwing your way around, right? Anyways, I'd like to get this done in the next couple weeks, so you guys put in some dates that you would like to come, and if you are interested. ANYONE with ranger/druid levels is invited, I think it could be a lot of fun. If any DMs want to get in on it, holler, and we can work some stuff out to have a little gathering for a couple hours

// This does sound like fun, but reaching the hullack forest isn't necesarrily as easy as you make it sound when you're only level 7... I have to be careful around ogres if they come in groups... Anyway, any date more than a few days past new year's eve will do for me. For convenience I suggest we delay it until then, seeing how most of us are gonna be busy celebrating christmas with family and friends.

//ok so sometime after New Years sounds good. Maybe Jan 7th?
and as long as you can afford the caravan tickets, you can get to the Wyvrenstones without a single encounter (barring Evil DM interferance) That is why I figured this would be a good place, not many extra spawns to cause lag, not many spawns to kill lowbies, and it makes sense.
But trust me, with a few hundred gold, a lvl 1 ranger/druid could get there.

// ok, i'm all for it then. i never buy alot of fancy stuff with kruhl. he just wants a choppah and a shield to hide behind when he's not chopping... so i got gold for a caravan ticket most of the time.

//*coughs* Perhaps Merriss or Darius in Isinhold would be willing to port those who are lower leveled/short on cash and wish to partake in the event to the entrance to the Hullack..... //Just let him/I know when

//cool, the arabel door, then due east. once ya find the forest, it's up to you to find the Wyvrenstones! but Valk sounds like she might be interested in helpin us out, so we'll see what kind of fun we can come up with in the ole woods. (I did see an ancient green dragon out there yesterday, but I'm sure he won't bother ya) Vind, Kruhl, Glewien, Guldar, Louis. Hopefully Padrin and Rav sign up, and any of you lower level guys that I don't know, come on out!

// ach! thar be a crazed dragin slayarr in me 'ead! 'n he's talk'n te a rabid dog! lol i saw that dragon too. that was fun by the way, but also off-topic... hmm... kruhl has to go through the hullack forest without letting himself become distracted, wandering off to sniff those great big trees? ;D i know! vind can just spray out a trace of fresh goat's blood and he'll follow it right to the wyvren stones like a blood hound tracking it's prey...

Slowly inching out of the brush and onto the road, a lone wolf surveys the area around itself. The animal sniffs the ground and walks across the road and into the brush again to relieve itself. Almost immediately, a hooded figure, bow in hand steps out onto the road, keeping an eye over the animal as it does its business. As the stranger waits, his attention is drawn to a tree trunk on the opposite side of the road. Taking a look both ways down the road to be sure no one was approaching, he walks up to the tree and examines a few faint markings written with what appears to be a clump of dirt to him. The marks resembled no language he could discern, but he recognized them for what they were. He chewed his lower lip and glanced both ways down the road again. "Huh," he thought. "I wonder if I can get any news that I'm lookin' for there?" He nods and says aloud, "I'm sure she'll be there, too. S'gonna be risky, but it wouldn't hurt to ask one of these folks what they know about it." His thoughts are interrupted by the sound of something scraping dirt. He looks down at the wolf as it covers its droppings with some loose soil. The wolf sniffs the place once and wags its tail a few times, seeming satisfied. "All set?" the stranger asked as the wolf looked up at him expectantly. A few wags of the tail were all he needed to tell him and the two walked off toward Waymoot.
//Put me down for a maybe, too. I'm on vacation starting Saturday, but I got a company holiday party I want to go to at some point, too. That and I'll have to find my way out there, if Atticus decides showing up will serve his goals.

Vind wanders the Hullack. He walks under the thick canopy through the dappled sunlight, his feet making barely a sound on the soft forest floor. Eventually he comes to the Western Mouth of the forest, and climbs a tall tre there. His gaze goes west toward Arabel where the sky was ever tinted gray from fires that were always being started by the damned orcs out that way. Taking a deep breath and closing his eyes to savor the smell of his home before heading back out, he drops quietly from the tree and heads out to remind the orcs that they did not have free run of the lands out here. Behind him, dotted through the forest were small signs, barely noticable by anyone without woodskill. The signs were the markings of the Hunt, and they marked the path to the Wyvrenstones. //This is on for tomorrow. I don't know if we are going to get a lot done, but I thought it would be cool to have us woodsmen get together and talk about all the crazy stuff our forests are going through. Again if any DM would like to do anything with us send me a PM unless you just want to drop trickery in our laps I will try to be at the Wyvrenstones as much as possible throughout the day Sunday, but I will say the main gathering will begin at 7:00pm Central Standard Time Hope to se you stinky forest guys there

// No sweat. We had a lousy tourn out as well. Just me, Ravenna and later on as we were waiting (hoping you had just crashed or something) Son'ya showed up and became interested as well. 2-3 people, that was all... I think we need to reschedule the event to a date when people can actually show up...
