Kenny, just set it at 56k streaming speed. it downgrades the quality of the video so it isnt a 20 minute wait between rebufferings.

Even to download, you don't need to provide a credit card. Basic membership is free.

alright since the stream function refused to show me anything even at 56k speed, i went ahead and signed up. why do these gamespot people need to know my excact home adress? so they can send assasins after me in my sleep or something? lol well, they'll be sending them to the middle of nowhere across the street from nowhere 'cause i never give my home adress to anyone... the download is huge but at least it´s downloading something... i'll let you know what i think of it when i'm able to view it... [edit] finally! i was able to download it and view it. that guy has a speech impediment or something, 'cause it was hard to pay attention during the entire enterview... he didn't really say anything about nwn 2 apart from something about better graphics stronger singleplayer module... it sounds promising that you will be able to import old modules but based on what he said it sounds like a virtual nightmare of bugs... i guess i'll just have to wait until the release date before i'll know whether it's great or not...

it was kinda a pointless interview, but the good ending about importing FRC made me happy...we'll see...

So in light of the possibility that FRC might be able to port to the NWN2, does that mean we will be able to port our characters (with some changes based on the new rules) as well?

Usurper and I are already in early discussions about where the next module will be set, what our goals will be, etc. The rest of the team will be involved in these discussions at their leisure as we move forward, but the floor will be open soon.
The FRC community will also have some say in this as well.
The bottom line, so far, is that we don't intend to port FRC to the new format at this time. I think the general consensus is that we start from scratch, utilizing all the lessons learned with FRC. Then, we may possibly work to port FRC, after we make a fresh start on a new world. We will also find it necessary to weigh the "headache factor" of importing the world of FRC to the new format. It may be more trouble than it's worth.
One thing is certain in the initial discussion... we want the next project to be better designed from the ground up, as immersive as possible and definitely as true to source as possible in the ways that you have come to enjoy FRC.
Some possibilities that have been thrown around thus far... Thay, Amn, Western Heartlands, and other more exotic locations. We are also planning on releasing (possibly) a couple of single/multi-player modules as well. Ideas kicked around for that have been Kara-Tur, Hordelands, and other (less) exotic locations.
At the end of the day, we want our team to work on something they can all feel proud of next go round... we have assembled an impressive, capable crew, IMO, and I know we will do something you all will love.
Cheers!

We are at least aware of the fact that FRC kicks rocks, hehe.
As always, thank you... and we will continue to strive for that PnP feeling.
Don't allow me to undermine the undercurrent, or crush anyone's dreams, if you will... everything is still very much "up in the air".
We will most likely port FRC, but it is not slated as our first project... yet.

Damn skippy! We would never build a hollow world... Having said that... FRC was nothing until we built it, if you dig?

again with the Harry Potter...I got it, what if we do it "Hogwarts gets sucked through a Hellmouth (via Buffy style) and the castle and all it's whining children are teleported smack dab in the Middle of Arabel, and all the players must choose a house and fight as lvl 3 mages through the hordes of orcs" now that would be a hoot.
